Romeoville, IL | Bluestone Single Tenant Properties announces its acquisition of two properties totaling 14.5 acres located on the northeast corner of Illinois Route 53 and Joliet Road in Romeoville, Illinois.
Bluestone has leased the property to Thorntons Inc., who will construct a new 5,500 square foot convenience store with ten gasoline pumps, seven fast flow diesel fueling lanes, and 70 truck parking spaces. Thorntons will begin construction of their new facility soon.
“This property was selected due to the strong industrial and warehousing growth we have seen in Will County and specifically the I-55 corridor,” said Rick Claes, managing partner of Bluestone.
The property was purchased from Abbott Land Gateway, a real estate developer based in the western Chicago suburbs. The Romeoville acquisition continues Bluestone’s accelerated expansion plan to build 50 new Thorntons over the next 5 years.
